You put together I nice checklist which seems to bery reasonable and pragmatic. Indeed the websites around do have every very different appoaches, but I would not say that there is only one "good" way.

But true is that there is a lot of crap around from people, who just copy some content and put it on a website without thinking ... "Cash mashines" called ...

But there is certainly onebig problem with mental diseases: The puristic (and certainly valuable) medical information is something very different from that what the patient expects. People certainly prefer to hear / read "there is a cure, you just have to do/buy/listen... blablabla" than hearing the doctor saying "You only have a 10 % chance to get cured".

I would love to see sites which are run by doctors PLUS patients together to find a bridge, but unfortunately this is very rare.

I have found myself unimpressed by a Dr. in front of a name as well. Some of their opinions on any given subject can vary like night and day between Doctor to Doctor. I remember a statement I heard years ago, that on the whole Doctors killed more people than they cured. All I'm saying in that when they go into the internet to promote information or a product they have to make themselves look better the the next Doctor down the Internet Street. Very nice to meet you. I really like your website.
